MANALAPAN, NJ – Released by Manalapan police and unedited by Patch, all reported crimes and arrests from Sept. 9-29:

On Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at approximately 11:45pm, patrols responded to a residence located on Parkview Way in reference to a report of Harassment. The victim, a 25-year-old Manalapan resident advised that a neighbor reacted via social media post to a social media post that he made resulting in a verbal dispute. Both parties were advised of complaint procedures. Patrolman Aaron Abeles handled the report.

On Monday, September 28, 2020, at approximately 5:11pm, the victim, a 51-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Identity Theft. The victim related that an unknown actor(s) filed unemployment benefits on their behalf. Patrolman Matthew Porricelli handled the report.

On Monday, September 28, 2020, at approximately 12:24pm, patrols responded to a residence located on Sobechko Road in reference to a report of a Motor Vehicle Theft. The victim, a 52-year-old Toms River resident, advised that an unknown actor(s) removed a 2014 dump truck that was parked on Sobechko Road. This case is pending investigation. On Sunday, September 27, 2020 at approximately 9:21am, patrols responded to West Windsor and met with the New Jersey State Police for the purpose of taking custody of James Burton, 31-year-old male, single, employed as a carpenter and resident of Hamilton, NJ. Mr. Burton had a warrant that was issued for his arrest by Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500.00. Mr. Burton was processed and transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Ross Dessel was the arresting officer.

On Saturday, September 26, 2020 at approximately 6:21pm, patrols responded to a residence located on Amberly Drive in reference to a report of Harassment. The victim, a 25-year-old Manalapan resident advised that his neighbor continually yells derogatory comments at him in the parking lot. Both parties were advised of the complaint process. Patrolman Jason Vigneault handled the report.

On Saturday, September 26, 2020, at approximately 3:06am, patrols responded to Centra State Medical Center in Freehold in reference to a report of Simple Assault that had allegedly occurred the previous evening. The victim, a 24-year-old Manalapan resident advised that he was punched in the face while within Manalapan resulting in an injury to his face requiring stitches. This incident is pending further investigation. Patrolman Brian Cruse handled the report.

On Saturday, September 26, 2020, at approximately 2:18am, Patrolman Kyle Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Higway 33 for a motor vehicle violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Jonathan Barjudinas, a 30-year-old male, single, employed as a service dealer and resident of East Windsor, NJ, was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Barjudinas was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being served with a summons. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.

On Thursday, September 24, 2020 at approximately 10:34am, patrols responded to a residence located on Century Way in reference to a report of Criminal Mischief. The victim, a 71-year-old Manalapan resident advised that sometime during the overnight hours someone keyed and dented two of his personally owned vehicles. Patrolman Anthony Cascella handled the report.

On Thursday, September 24, 2020 at approximately 12:28am, Patrolman Jared Coupland responded to State Highway 9 for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Further investigation revealed that Melissa Sansolo, a 19-year-old female, single, college student and resident of Morganville, NJ was found to be operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Ms. Sansolo was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where she was processed and released after being served with multiple summonses. Patrolman Jared Coupland was the arresting officer.

On Monday, September 21, 2020, at approximately 10:26am, the victim, a 63-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Burglary to a Motor Vehicle. The victim advised that sometime in May of 2020, an unknown actor(s) removed an EZ Pass unit from his unsecured vehicle and utilized the unit for travel. This incident is pending investigation. On Saturday, September 19, 2020, at approximately 9:02pm, patrols responded to a residence located on Meadow Green Circle in reference to a report of Terroristic Threats. The victim, a 32-year-old Manalapan resident advised that he received a threatening voicemail from a former friend. Patrolman Jason Vigneault handled the report.

On Friday, September 18, 2020, at approximately 1:53pm, the victim, a 66-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that an unknown actor(s) used his personal information to open a small business line of credit. This incident is pending further investigation. On Friday, September 18, 2020, at approximately 9:36am, patrols responded to a residence located on Pinetree Lane in reference to a report of Harassment. The victim, a 51-year-old Manalapan resident advised that on September 15, 2020, he was harassed online by an unknown subject. This incident is pending further investigation. On Thursday, September 17, 2020, at approximately 11:42pm, Patrolman Kyle
Williams conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 9 for a motor vehicle violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Syhmed Zaffa, a 22-year- old male, single, employed as a security guard and resident of Pleasantville, NJ, was found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana. Mr. Zaffa was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being served with a summons. Patrolman Kyle Williams was the arresting officer.

On Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at approximately 9:09pm, the victim, a 25- year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Harassment. The victim advised that a known subject posted false information about him on social media and has sent harassing text messages. Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled the report.

On Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at approximately 5:47pm, Patrolman John Lightbody conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 9 for a motor vehicle violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Louis Stringer, a 33-year- old male, single, unemployed and resident of Manalapan, NJ was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and had six warrants for his arrest. Mr. Stringer had three warrants issued for his arrest by the Hamilton Township Municipal Court in the amount of $3,858.00, a warrant issued for his arrest by the Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500.00, a warrant issued for his arrest by the East Windsor Municipal Court in the amount of $350.00 and a warrant issued for his arrest by the Trenton Municipal Court in the amount of $150.00. Mr. Stringer was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and turned over to the Hamilton Township Police Department after being served with a summons. Patrolman John Lightbody was the arresting officer.

On Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at approximately 7:48am, Patrolman James Guarino conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 9 for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, Wilbert Alarcon, a 28-year-old male, married, employed as a painter and resident of Irvington, NJ was found to have a warrant that was issued for his arrest by the Irvington Municipal Court in the amount of $120.00. Mr. Alarcon was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman James Guarino was the arresting officer.

On Monday, September 14, 2020, at 9:21pm, Patrolman Adam Sosnowski conducted a motor vehicle stop on State Highway 33 for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, Freyder Rodriguez, a 29-year-old male, single, employed as a laborer and resident of Jersey City, NJ was found to have three warrants that were issued for his arrest by the Jersey City Municipal Court in the amount of $505.00. Mr. Rodriguez was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail. Patrolman Adam Sosnowski was the arresting officer.

On Sunday, September 13, 2020 at approximately 3:28pm, the victim, a 31-year-old, Philadelphia, PA, resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Simple Assault. The victim advised that he was assault by a female subject after being involved in minor motor vehicle crash earlier in the day. This incident is pending further investigation. On Saturday, September 12, 2020 at approximately 5:26pm, patrols responded to a grocery store located on State Highway 9 South in reference to a report of Simple Assault. The victim, a 25-year-old Perth Amboy, NJ resident advised that a 32-year-old Hackettstown, NJ resident assaulted him while inside the store. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident which is currently pending further investigation. Patrolman Peter Bylsma handled the report.

On Friday, September 11, 2020, at approximately 5:04am, patrols responded to a residence located on Equinox Lane in reference to a report of Multiple Motor Vehicle Thefts. Further investigation revealed that unknown actor’s removed two motor vehicles from inside a garage belonging to a resident on Equinox Lane. The incident is pending further investigation. Patrolman Ryan Brady handled the report.

On Thursday, September 10, 2020, at approximately 5:19pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta conducted a motor vehicle stop on Tennent Road for a motor vehicle violation. Further investigation revealed that the driver, Damian C. Rommell, a 27-year-old male, single, unemployed and resident of Monroe NJ was found to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Rommell was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after being served with a summons. Patrolman Philip Accatatta was the arresting officer.

On September 9, 2020, at approximately 4:14pm, patrols responded to a residence located on Medford Court in reference to a report of Fraud. The victim, a 67-year-old Manalapan resident advised that a known actor took her debit card without her permission and purchased numerous items. This case is pending further investigation. Patrolman Slad handled the report.

On September 9, 2020, at approximately 6:33pm, the victim, a 46-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Criminal Attempt. The victim advised that at approximately 4:51am, he observed three subjects wearing masks and hooded sweatshirts attempting to enter several parked vehicles to include his own in the area of Heron Court. This case is currently under investigation. Patrolman Brian Schank handled the report.

On September 9, 2020, at approximately 11:53am, the victim, a 64-year-old Manalapan resident responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters and reported an incident of Fraud. The victim advised that he was defrauded out of money and valuables through an online dating site scam. This incident is currently under investigation. Patrolman Jeffrey Emslie handled the report.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
